This page will feature a police or sheriff's department in California. Every few weeks or so, I will post a short bio about the department, the departments patch, and other interesting information! Check back every few weeks for a new department!

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is run by Sheriff Lou Blanas. The Sacramento Sheriff's Department is charged with running the county jail system, providing patrol services for the unincorporated areas of Sacramento County as well as the cities of Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova, Rockingham, and more, and providing security at the county courthouses. The department has specialized units such as motors, air support, canine, mounted unit, and many more.
